What You’ll Need
Required:
- Combi drill
- 7mm masonry bit
- T25 Torx key (included)
- Tape measure
- Pencil
Recommended:
- Laser line or level
- Torque wrench (1–6Nm)
- SDS drill (for tough walls)
Step-by-Step Installation
Step 1: Mark Drill Holes
– Use Layout Guide for Standard or Extended Rail to mark the positions for:
- Bottom rail (2 fixings)
- Upper rail (3 fixings for Extended)
🧠 Tip: Use a laser level or plumb line for accuracy.
Step 2: Pre-Check Rail Fit
Before drilling, hold both rails up to the marked points to confirm alignment and spacing.
Step 3: Drill Fixings
Use a 7mm masonry drill bit to 30mm depth
Undersize pilot holes (6.5mm) can help with adjustment
Insert wall plugs
💬 If drilling into OSB or softer material, a 4mm pilot hole is enough.
Step 4: Mount the Lower Stop Plate
Fix the lower channel using 2× T25 stainless Torx screws.
Torque to 2Nm or “nip tight” using finger pressure on an L-wrench.
Step 5: Mount the Combined Upper Rail
Install the main upper rail first, then slide the extension piece into position.
Ensure no gap remains between the two.
Fix using all 3 screw points (2 for main, 1 for extension).
Step 6: Slide In Lower Accessories
Before adding tyre clips, insert any accessories clips that sit below the front wheel (helmet hook, sunglasses holder etc).
Slide from the top of the upper rail.
Step 7: Insert Front Tyre Clip
Slide the clip into the upper rail and align it with your front wheel axle.
Nip tight using the included hex key.
Step 8: Insert Rear Tyre Clip
Slide the clip into the bottom stop plate rail and align with your rear axle.
Tighten gently with the hex tool.
Step 9: Add the Optional Safety Loop
Slide in just above the tyre clip (20–40mm gap recommended).
Secure using the hex key.
💡 This keeps your bike secure even if tyre pressure drops over time.
Step 11: Slide In Upper Accessory
Now insert and secure any accessories that go above the safety loop — e.g., shoe holder.
Step 12: Test Fit Your Bike
Place the rear wheel in first, then lean the bike into the front clip.
Secure the Safety Loop. Adjust any positions if needed.
Step 13: Store the Tool
Place the hex key in your topmost accessory or holder for easy access.

Drill spacing for Standard and Extended kits — align rail to your bike’s wheelbase.
Installation Tips: What to Do& AvoidWhen Mounting Your Verticale Kit
✅ DO |
|---|
Use a laser level or plumb line: Ensures rails are mounted straight — especially important with the three-point upper rail. |
Mark Clip Positions Using the Bike Itself: Lean your bike vertically against the wall where you want to install. |
Test Clip Placement Before Final Tightening: Slide in tyre clips and hold the bike in place before tightening. |
Add Accessories in Logical Order: Lower accessories (e.g. sunglasses hook, helmet hook): before tyre clip Upper accessories (e.g. shoe holder): after tyre & safety loop |
❌ DON’T |
|---|
Don’t install rails too close to a door or obstruction. |
Don’t drill into brittle or unsupported surfaces without proper fixings. |
Don’t skip the safety loop — it helps hold the bike if pressure drops. |
Don’t overtighten clips — secure is good, but force can strip fixings. |
Adjusting for Different Bikes
The Extended Kit makes swapping bikes easier — but positioning matters:
- Tyre clips and safety loop are fully adjustable — just loosen, slide, and re-tighten.
- Accessories may need repositioning if your new bike has:
- Different wheelbase
- Larger/smaller tyres
- Different handlebar width
💡 Store a second set of clips if regularly swapping between bikes — perfect for winter/summer bikes or guest setups.
---------
Not all bikes are the same size — and your rail setup doesn’t have to be either.
If you’re installing for a junior, child, or compact frame, just adjust the clip positions to match your bike’s axle points. You can also fix the rails slightly closer together if needed.
📌 Tip: Mark the axle height of your bike on the wall first — this makes it easy to align the clips precisely.
FAQs – Positioning and Safety
Not exactly.
What matters is that the tyre clips align with your bike’s front and rear axles.
If you're storing a smaller bike (like a junior MTB or kids’ bike), you can adjust the spacing — just ensure the rails are straight and vertical.
📌 Tip: Use a laser level or plumb line to keep everything vertical.
